The first phase of the project has been underway since September 2005 and consists of four elements.

MAPPING - creating an overview of existing programmes within the
subject of design and sustainability

NEEDS ANALYSIS - creating an overview of industry/business demand for the programme from a select group of Danish and Swedish companies that are proactive in terms of sustainability.

EVENTS/TRAVEL/NETWORK BUILDING - Attendance of conferences and events in sustainable design, education and general design to meet and network with key players and active professionals in the field.

SYMPOSIUM - An event with a select group of experts in sustainable
design invited to brainstorm a vision of a new Scandinavian MA in
EcoDesign.


The outcomes of this first phase were published in a report at the end
